Yesterday, we spent a bit of the morning listening to Rickey Bolden, a former NFL player. Bolden shared stories of both triumph and defeat while instilling the importance of positive self talk. His message was simple, yet powerful: "Your attitude determines your altitude".
One-Act practice is cancelled tonight, Monday, October 5th.
Friday in français 8, students played vocabulary fish pond to learn classroom objects such as stapler (une agrafeuse), desk (un pupître) & une fenêtre (window). The goal is to tap the correct item before your partner when Mme. Armstrong calls it out. Ties are broken with rock, paper, scissors. Competition was fierce! 😊
The 11th grade class travelled to the Fort Totten Historic Site to experience what life was like for 19th century military personnel and the Native American children who attended the boarding school. The students have been learning about how government policies affect different groups, and the trip gave them the opportunity to actually see those policies in action.

Les Petites Contes de français II (French II's Storytime)
Students reviewing adjectives, animal, and color vocabulary, and er verbs, drew scenes to demonstrate their understanding of the vocabulary and grammatical principles. Today it was story time! Frenchies gathered around as each classmate shared their creative masterpieces and stories about their scenes. Among the highlights was forest scenes, tales of the sea, barnyard stories and a crazy house with a mysterious girl.

Ms. Olson's Peer to Peer class experienced a flipped classroom where they became the teachers. Students researched the 13 categories of disabilities under IDEA and discovered how students qualify for an IEP or a 504 in the school system. After researching, students presented their information to teach their classmates about their chosen category. Knowledge gained from this experience will help students gain a better understanding of different disabilities and how to work with a variety of students.
Harvey Public School District is seeking a driver to Minot 1-2 times per day utilizing a school vehicle. Mileage and sit time will be paid. Must be able to pass background check.
