Coach Stanley graduated from Brookings High School (SD) in 1999, where he played American Legion Baseball for the Brookings Bandits. He then went on to play at Fergus Falls Community College, winning the Minnesota State Community College State tournament in 2002. Justin transferred to the University of Mary to continuing his playing career, while earning his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Physical Education in 2005. He received a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Catherine’s University in 2009 and his Elementary and Secondary Principal’s Credentials from North Dakota State University in 2014.
Justin coached youth sports throughout his high school and collegiate career. He won three consecutive state championships coaching the Bismarck 14-year old Babe Ruth all-stars, and twice finished second place at the Midwest Regionals. He then served as an assistant coach at Bismarck High School, being on staff for the the 2014 State Championship team. He is in his fifth year as the Secondary Principal at Harvey High School, along with his second year as the Head Baseball Coach. He and his wife, Deann, have five children ages 1, 5, 7, 11 and 13.
